Scottish, b. 1972


Mark Pearson was born in Scotland. After serving in the British Army he studied photojournalism at the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and in 1996 began working as a photographer for a national news and picture agency covering news stories for the British media. Since then he has worked for UNICEF, UNHCR, Corbis Sygma and the BBC. He has worked for ShelterBox since 2004 where he was the first person on the ground during the Tsunami for ShelterBox  since 2004 Mark has covered over 50 deployments in conflict environments and natural disasters as a photographer / cameraman using the latest satellite communications to get  still and moving images back from anywhere in the world 24/7 365.
